I've just been trying to see what you get in a single kit for £35. Are they about the same as the other MIC kits?

Ooh, my lcs that sells c&c stuff has these in a smaller kit for £14.99. I think you get 8 sheets of decoupage and 8 blanks (though that's a bit unclear as they are described as double blanks so I'm wondering if they are a4 sheets that can be cut in two like dufex cards). I don't think there are white blanks in the kit I've seen. These are another dufex rip off imo though!
I've been tempted by them for a while but was wondering if they'd turn up cheaper on screen. At that price I think I'll go for it and get a smaller kit in both designs.
From the sample in the shop I would say that the cards aren't as sturdy as the usual wonderland kits but they are pretty.

Just seen the ribbon sticker sheets and these are DEFINITELY a dufex rip off!

I see the usual IT probs have struck - I just searched for the single kit item number & it's not found on the C&C site...The front page highlighting it takes you to the bliddy GG CD & the product listing for the show states that the single option isn't currently available.
That would be why everyone's going for the multibuy then Steph

Clever marketing from c&c there then!

I like the patterned mirri card too but thought Steph was about to explode with excitement over it then!

Ah. Forget the Blockbuster...I've just gone for that lush embossed gold/silver mirri board...So much for my idea of not buying anything...

Welly, why don't you try to sell bits of your kits that are too big for you? That card looked lovely, I'm sure your not alone in not needing all that and you'd find peeps wanting to take some off your hands:)

I agree - this seems very dear to me and, unless you are going to want it for Christmas, it seems alot to spend on yourself with only 2 pay days between now and Christmas.
BTW - did anyone else hear Steph say that this is the last Craft Weekend until Christmas?

I've been contemplating this for a couple of weeks Dips - just looking into setting up a Paypal account :D
And yes, Steph said that last night too...

well now I know I'm a proper crafter, i'd promised myself the YBF makeup TSV today with the rest of my birthday money. But that was before I switched on We R Memory Keepers and saw the very cute American chappy showing the very cool cutting board with magnets and rotary cutters etc. So guess who isn't getting any new makeup this month....
Managed to wade onto the website to get some of the clearance glitter and teddy cards, i'm not even going to try and bother to justify buying it, it's a sale and i had to have it. But the website was so busy it took me about 15 minutes to put my order in and i kept expecting it to throw my bits out of my basket before it finished, guess I was one of the lucky ones who got through in time. I also noticed that the single option of the metallic kit wasn't available, just as well I'd spent all my money on the other stuff!
In the meantime, PLEASE SHOOT ME IF I GO ANYWHERE NEAR A CRAFT SHOW ON TV OR A CRAFT SHOP WITH MY CREDIT CARD!

I have today, for example, subscribed to the club for a month for £2 & bought some embossing powders

Well I bit the bullet today and got the mini version of this kit from my lcs. For the extra £20 you don't get that much more stuff and I have so many bliddy c&c kits languishing in drawers that I feel quite virtuous for buying a small version.
The floral version is here if you're interested http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CREATE-AND-CRAFT-FLOWERS-KIT-43-ITEM-DIE-CUT-DECOUPAGE_W0QQitemZ180299514102QQcmdZViewItem?hash =item180299514102&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1431|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18

that's a good idea, getting the mini version. Sometimes you just only want enough to make half a dozen cards, not 40 or 60!

I also bought the mini version of the fairy/butterfly kit for £14.99 from a craft store in kirkcaldy at the weekend, it contains 16 cards and 16 papers and 8 decoupage sheets and 3 ribbon sheets and 16 envelopes but it is lovely and more than enough for me. I agree there is just too much in the fullblown craft kits on TV and I also have umpteen half used kits lying in brown envelopes in drawers. I dont know if it is okay to mention this but I think that cuttingedgecrafts are actually selling these mini version kits on the sale section of their website for £11.75 (well they look the same so I have ordered the floral version)

Even at £14.99 with a minimum of 16 cards, that would be good value for those of us who don't want massive kits. I sometimes think that IW and QVC focus so much on these huge kits that they forget about those of us who would want to buy smaller ones, even if they are not so much value for money.

Perfectly fine to mention it Betty - the main posting/links rule on CT.com id that we can't post direct links to other forums...& I think Graham also doesn't like us to discus other forums if poss...But bargain buys are almost a main feature on here LOL We don't just do craft telly - we do craft retail in general :D
Anyhoo, I know where I'll be browsing later :D Ta for info...

I was just visiting for the day, but I think it is in the small shopping centre called "The Postings" which was up of the left of the main high street. In fact I have just googled Kirkcaldy shopping centres and there is a website about the centre and directions to get there. The craft shop was a few shops down on the left as you go in the centre.
