This is for a friend; you can see he's called Andrew, and it's my 1st try at using alcohol inks, I've also got some of those wee wooden shapes that they had on C&C the other week (didn't buy them there) which I've embossed.
Andrew works with computers, but I think the robot and all the cogs and wheels is more how I thought the world would be

Love that background Millburn! Better than my first attempt.
Brilliant! I haven't tried them yet - but you've added to my "need to get some of those" feelings. :)

Great card Millburn. The Alcohol Inks look really good on the embossed background and the robot is really cute!

Fab card Milburn and especially fab for a first attempt. Love the little robot. I find alcohol inky backgrounds difficult to do, because it dries so bliddy quickly!

I have 25 alcohol inks now and don't know what I'd do without them. Absolutely love them, & Milburn you've done a sterling job using yours!

If that's your first attempt I wonder what you'll come up with next! The closest I get to alcohol inks is stirring my gin and tonic with a biro!

That's a great card, which colours did you use? I have been messing with the cogs and clocks embossing folder this week as I have to make a card for a male friend, I have been trying with distress stains but not too happy with the results up to now.

Vodka & tonic here; until this morning :D (and me thinks from another post a good sized G&T are allowed flower)
I bought the inks a couple of months ago, and Andrew's Mrs's card to me for my birthday was with AI and it was brilliant :D and my card for him has been washing around my head for a while; but I have to admit I was scared; but they really are fun; the robot I've done before, and used gilding flakes to colour him in, last time more flakes.

I have bottle, denim and eggplant, with a tiny splash of the gold and a wee bit of the alcolhol blending solution; I also tried it on gold mirri, which looks far more green

I have about 15 AI's and none of the above - how rubbish, they look really good. I think I have stream and stone washed. I might try it with them tomorrow. I also have some screw brads and some electricians silver duct tape. If it doesn't work I'll try and build a tardis or something
looks amazing cannot believe your first attempt. Mine is sitting in my reject box waiting to have something done to it! Love the whole idea...was that a robot stamp?

Yes it is, it's from Stampendous (via QVC) it's bits of robots, so you can add different heads and there's a robot cat too :D
I bought them from last clicks a while ago, I just thought that with grandsons and a couple of computer "geekish type" friends (well employed to work with computers) he would be useful stamp to have

What a great card! I have been wanting to get some alcohol inks for ages but was afraid I wouldn't get on with them. I love how you've used them, the card has a really metallic look to it which would difficult to achieve with just regular inks.

I love it! The colours you used are perfect for the robot theme. I've only ever used AIs on smooth card but they look so good with a touch of embossing.
