I have a young cousin in the RN and he has asked me to knit him a white ensign cushion (white background, with St George's cross and the union flag in the top left-hand corner. There are plenty of patterns for union flag cushions around but an extensive search on Google has come up with zilch for the white ensign.

Yes, I know I could set to with graph paper but I thought that the combined pool of craft knowledge on here might be able to help.

Scaling up won't be a problem. The top left-hand corner needs a Union Flag - the problem being that most patterns I've come across don't get it right (the designers obviously weren't Scouts or Guides!) and I don't want to upset the Navy ;-)
