can't decide whether it was a mistake to buy. Pity we can't try before deciding.

I know how you feel.I got really excited and downloaded it from daisy trail.I already have the first version that I hardly ever use but got carried away about the new decoupage feature.Denise said it was "idiot proof",well then that makes me the biggest idiot because some of the things are tricky to do.Even with help from OH who is a computer whizz!Mind you he mostly complained about how you could'nt get to some things when a second screeen came up in front of what you were doing etc.
We finally managed to decoupage with help from you guys on the forum....THank you!But to be honest I am not sure how much I will use it and I really should have bought the manual for it.Oh well, I am sure I will use it sometimes.I suppose the more I use it the easier things will get,but it's amazing how time gets eaten up just playing with it!!!!!!!!
I'm still waiting for mine. I orederd ot from Daisy Trali and they say it's been dispatched so will let you know how I get on. After watching all the shows it looks a little easier to use that CA1, or may be it's because someone is showing me what to do rather than me bumbling through it.

There is an inbuilt manual in DA2... use the help button to open it...
hugs Janie xx
I'm really enjoying playing with Craft Artist 2. I do think it's overwhelming at first - because there are just SO MANY options and things you can do. But I agree with Janie B - the help files are really quite good and it's well worth checking them out, as well as the video tutorials.

played with a friends cap2 she downloaded from daisytrail and has some interesting features. I don't do decoupage as no one I make cards for likes it, the svg cutting files is a good idea but its not just click and it cuts. unless of course you have scal3 update that makes it easier to do. But I already convert to svg to cut on cameo so not too bothered.
Its fun to play with though....

There is a manual - I've 'lifted' the following from the Daisy trail website:
Just go to the StartUp Wizard > LEARN secion on the right > fourth link is to the User Guide/Manual which is installed on your computer
I think they were saying they were going to be selling one in a few weeks time at £9.99.
When I bought CA1 professional a few years ago it came with a thick instruction book, but even that didn't cover everyrthing you can do with the softwear.

I got the first one, had it when it was free just pay p and p, I only just used r for first time. And it took me a whole to get used to. I designed my blog with it. I would like to know how do you do stitching effects with it?

Hello! If you select your brush from the toolbar and then select 'brushes' from the panel on the right of the page, and select 'embroidery'. There you will see lots of stitching options. Hope that helps!
Off to check out your blog. :)
I have just recieved CA2 and put it on my new laptop along with Paddington. I was so worried I was going to get CA1 put on as well but luckily it just put on the digi kit. It took me a little while to find the new digi kits so will have a good play tonight.

I haven't uploaded mine to the lappy yet. I'm hoping to do that on Sunday. Really looking forward to using it.
Still waiting for mine to arrive, along with Sheena's stamps. Ruddy City Post taking forever again, coming via stage coach I presume. Despatch confirmation on the 17th for CA2 and the 18th for Sheena's stamps.
I was not going to get CA2 but got sucked in by the demos in the programs and being able to save as svg and open pdf files. So I hope it is as good as it showed and I can get my head around it all.
I spent till 11.45pm putting all the free didgi kits amd all my digi kits. When I counted them I have over 120, I had collections 2 and 3 from my brother so I now realise I don't need to order the 2 cd's from C&C as I can make loads of puches and brushes from the elements I have already.

Oh no, do you have to reinstall all your digikits.?? I thought that CA2 just grabbed them.

I loaded mine today and it grabbed all my kits, so don't worry too much. What I did though, is pause my anti virus whilst I was doing the install because sometimes it interferes. :)
The reason I had to put all my digi kits on was it was a new laptop, so don't worry, they do say that it finds all the digikits that are on your computer.
