I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed opening these exquisite cards. I was by myself and it took me over half an hour to open, study and ooooh over them. I have described how I think they have been made but please step in to correct me or elaborate. I apologise for my photography if I haven't picked up the true colours.

Here we go, in no particular order as the saying goes:

Pam
By the postmark I am sure this is from Pam (there was no signature). The flowers and wording on the panel are stitched and are so beautiful. You are so clever and have also chosen my favourite colours.

An amazing easel (literally!) card. Beautifully coloured with a subtle shine on the flowers, then framed to perfection and mounted on the easel.

This will take me a little while (supposed to be working)

Rainbowwand
A stunning bodice with a bit of glitter and feathers on a pale green background. Gorgeous.

This is so beautiful; I just love the colours that tone so well with the backing card. I think Timmy must have lent a paw with the ribbon.

What a great idea for a card – I just love it. It’s a long story but my ambition is to visit Venice. I did see it from a ship but it was too wet to visit. Now you have brought it to me in this beautiful monochrome design

A fun card with a little gift inside, thank you. I admire anyone who can do decoupage and this is done so well. The book and wine says it all, really.

What a spectacular card. Another one with lovely colours and so beautifully made. The little brown butterflies on the small toppers are layered on top, the topper is neatly stamped and glittered (yeah, love glitter!), there are little matching pearls on the background. Every detail has been thought of with the inside verse put on a topper and layered onto paper that matches the small toppers on the front.

This is a cheerful card that made me smile. The colours are perfect, the cake is stamped, coloured and glittered with faux stitching round the edge of the topper. If you stamped the sentiment, I want to know how you did it without smudging – it is so neat. Thank you, too, for the treat inside the card, very useful.

This is such a nice card. Is the background die cut? It’s very effective. Then I think you have used glitter paste or something like that on the design. It feels very soft, like flocked paper. Beautiful.

Yes, this is the second from Spends, she was so carried away with things over Christmas she forgot she had send me a card already. She kindly said I could keep the both, aren’t I lucky? I would have had a huge problem deciding which to return. I am intrigued to know how you made the background. I hope it shows on the photo, it’s a very subtle pattern that is then echoed in the flowers on the topper.

A stunning easel card that must have taken some time to make. The girl on the topper is cut out so neatly and her eyes are glazed somehow to make them shine. I love the teddy and think the rosette stopper is amazing.

A lovely card from Jane, it is so neatly done and I don’t know how! I can see the front of the card is embossed but how did you get the gold frame bit done? If you drew it on, you have a very steady hand. The gold and blue topper is seen through the aperture on the front section. Oh, and even the flap on the envelope was beautifully embossed.

This is lovely. A round circle easel card with roses and butterflies and three gorgeous hat pins adding to the stopper on the base.

Millburn isn’t in the swap but kindly sent this most beautiful card with a lovely verse inside. It must have taken some patience to stick all the gems on. The colours are lovely, thank you so much.

Susan W has apologised for not sending hers yet but she has been so poorly I quite understand.

You can see now why this was one of my best birthdays ever. Your work takes me aback with its quality and I thank you for making the day so special. Not easy, I know, with the run up to the festive season. Thank you all so much.

Gorgeous cards Jenty, it was nice that you described each card in detail, hope you had a lovely birthday x

They certainly are. It takes a while but I feel that all the hard work deserves to be described as best I can.

Jenty, these are gorgeous, thanks for sharing and such descriptions too. BTW, could be because you are in the middle of this, but Millburn's creation is showing as 'invalid attachment' when you click on it

Lovely cards jenty :D and they do make your day don't they, the shere luxury of sitting there opening all that time and effort, and I had your address and thought an added wee card would hurt the postie

Jenty, the background was made by using embossing past over a stencil with a little glitter. Thank you for your nice comments.

This lovely card arrived from Susan W and was certainly worth waiting for. I love everything about it from the exquisitely coloured topper (the highlights in her hair are amazing), to the gentle colours in the background to the outstanding flowers. I have a punch that shape but my flowers doing look as good as these! Thank you so much, I know how difficult it is to catch up after being poorly. I only have one card missing from the list so I've been really lucky.
