This is the quilt I made a a Christmas present for my son's new daughter. It's a Margaret Sherry design which was in Cross Stitcher a few years ago. It was designed for an afghan, but I stitched the designs on 5" squares which I made into a quilt.

Absolutely beautiful - well done. As others have said, I'm sure she will treasure it throughout her life and perhaps pass it on to her own children.

It's the 11 th quilt I've made in the past 13 years - all different. The others were larger as they were on 6" squares with 28 cross stitched squares. They are all sewn together by hand because I'm useless with a sewing machine!
That's really lovely, CSF, what a great idea.

CSF !! Its beautiful and you've done it all by hand? No sewing machine? You must be a Saint or have the patience of Job - or both!!

I really appreciate your kind comments. My son isn't good at saying thank you for gifts so i never really know if they're appreciated. But the fact that other crafters think my work is good has boosted my crafting confidence. :)
