I know exactly what you mean Angela - they look like they could inflict an injury if wielded by a determined shopper! I'm not sure what non-woven fabric is and whether that would be suitable for what you have in mind but the Morplan ones are certainly good value. I shall look forward to the outcome of your project -I'm intrigued!

Your bag looks lovely. I was in Wilkinson's store yesterday and I am sure I saw some jute bags in the gardening section although these might have been the potato storage type.

I also went into my local Boyes looking for some waterproof lining for a quilted bag but they didn't have any. But I did came out with some lovely light vinyl with a wonderful pastel butterfly pattern on it - £4 for a metre. It will make a lovely bag - hopefully my sewing skills will match up what's in my mind for it!

I'm not sure if they still do them, but when I won the £100 at Crafty Computer Paper I bought several canvas bags to decorate up..... guess who still has them sitting in a box somewhere!

Your pics above are gorgeous Angie

Sorry hon, I posted as I was going out the door and didn't have time to check. I couldn't remember what I paid for mine, but as they came out of that lovely £100 gift voucher it didn't really matter. Have to say it was lovely spending money on craft like I was Rockerfella or something!

I'll look back Angela but I have just had an email from Hobbycraft who have some Calico Cotton Shopping Bags at £1.

Right, I have looked back and the postage on my order was £3.0 but you do get a discount on the bags if you buy multiples. I think it calculates it when you have put your order together.

Beat me to GP, thought they were reasonable at that although didn't look on the site.
