Daylight lamps

I want one of these (a floor lamp) but can't justify the cost! :eek:

B&Q sell blue "daylight" bulbs but I don't know if they are the same thing and would give me real daylight if I fitted it into my ordinary floor lamp.

Has anyone done this? Do you think it would work? :confused:
