Then you may like to try this. I found this idea on Pinterest and as my plate looked like this
4562
4563

and was just starting to develop cracks down the sides I thought I would give it a go.

Wrap the plate in tin foil and place into a heat proof dish with something heavy on top. Heat at 170°c for 30 mins. Remove from oven and allow to cool with weight still in place.

This is what my plate now looks like:
4564
4565

I had to prop the plate up as it's now too flat to stand unaided. I did find mine took slightly longer and needed about 180° in my oven to soften sufficiently, but I'm really pleased.

My cuttlebug has been in storage for what feels like years (in fact it probably is 2 years) but I used to turn the cutting plate over each time I used it so it warped in one direction and then the other. Do you always cut the same side of the plate?

Anyway, handy tip; thanks very much!

Clever idea - I've often wondered if you could use a heat gun to straighten the plates i.e. heat them and then put something heavy on top?

Mitzi I did turn my first plate over each time I used it but it started to crack even though it was relatively flat. This is my second plate and I read somewhere to keep always cut on one side so I thought I'd give it a go and found that this one has lasted longer.

I've just done this with my plate too after being given that tip from another crafter I met in a craft shop! Mine is a clear cuting plate (not sure it is made of-different machine) and the process also removed some of the scratches and clouding. With mine I only needed 30mins at 150. I didn't really believe it would work so I watched over it untill it began to soften and then whipped it out and left it on a completely flat surface under a very heavy pile of books until it had cooled completely. I didn't wrap it in foil - I just put it on a baking rack. I was really really pleased with the result. I only had time to try with a couple of dies but it's made cutting much easier!

I tried this idea with my old plates, to these exact instructions two months ago but it didn't work. The plates totally melted, filled my baking tray and were put in the bin when they cooled down. It just made me go out and buy new plates the next day. It is lovely having new plates again, I had been needing them for quite a while so I am quite glad this idea didn't work for me!

OMG - that sounds like something that would happen to me - needless to say, hubby does all the cooking in this house!
