I think that the Bucilla chart I used for this was the worst I've ever used. The colour of the symbols on the key didn't match up with the chart. Much prefer the black and white symbols of the Anchor and DMC charts.

Thank you everyone.

Jan I think it took about four months to do. No idea how many hours though. I usually do a bit everyday when the tele's on. The back stitching took me a month lol. There was an awful lot of backstitching in it.

Suban, my next one is another Bucilla one. Much smaller but a bit different in that it's got ribbon flowers on it. They call it ribbon embroidery but it's got quite a lot of cross stitch in too.

It's titled 'Window Box' and it's another old one. (from QVC I think).

Oh I've done ribbon ones - think there's a Bucilla one at the bottom of the pile! Must get some finished stuff washed and pressed - including a topiary ribbon one!!! :confused2:

Well done on persevering Waterlily - it's stunning! Thanks for showing us the finished result. I know we all debated over the colour of Cinders dress but the gold looks better than blue would have done, especially as the Fairy God Mother has a blue cape on.

What a beautiful piece of work Waterlily. BTW I have that window box kit in my 'to do' pile. If it's as good quality as the other Plaid ribbon kits I've had (Anna Griffin and in a Carol Smith set)it should be lovely to work.

Looks good anyway, so well done, congratulations, and all that. :)

I know what you mean about symbols and stuff not adding up. I've had so many Jane Greenoff kits that have nearly driven me to drink, especially the Advent calendar and the etui, the latter still hasn't been put together. :( Even her cross stitch program is full of faults. I had to contact Ian to get it sorted out. She doesn't use quarter stitches, so hadn't noticed, but I do, and it was all very frustrating. All sorted out now thank goodness. If anybody has the program, then click on help and do an update, that will sort out the problems.
