Hi Lynnie we already had a thread about this a few weeks ago. I have to agree with you tho, it is such a shame that Luminarte are closing down - I adore my H2O paints.

Cosmic Shimmers would seem to be the nearest alternative although who knows what else may appear on the market. Once Upon A Stamp are currently promoting a new mica paint as an excellent and much cheaper alternative to H2Os. I saw the them at the SECC, and the paints do look as if they are a good quality. Mind you there are only about 20 somthing colours, but you can mix and create your own shades I guess.

 Can anyone tell me how many twinkling H20s there are altogether, as I'm trying to complete my collection before it's too late.

Visit Luminarte and you will see Serena, there are probably in the region of 30 sets of paints sold in 6 colours per set - and they claim there are NO doubles - every set is it's own set of 6 unique colours.

Oh and don't get fooled by the sets that are 10grm pots vs the size we get in the UK - the 5grm pot.

And keep in mind that the sets of 12, 24, etc are simply combination of the basic 6-packs.

:) Thanks for that link Phree. It seems I'm only missing 5 colours.

Hi Sheila, I checked out twinkling H2Os on e-bay last time you mentioned it and again today - I don't see any deals that I would call "great" - all I see is ball park prices - i.e most of the prices are over £8 per set when you factor in the shipping. I was buying from Once Upon A stamp for £7.99 with free shipping. However maybe my search didn't bring up the seller you have found. Not sure how much stock Once Upon a Stamp have left now, but if you are looking for more it may be worth checking with them.

Just had a look at the new mica paints from Once upon a stamp - they say they are comparable to H2Os so may be worth having a look at. The price is good at £14.99 for 21 pots.
If I hadn't placed a mega order with Luminarte I would have ordered these.

I recieved the palette from once upon a stamp today and am very happy with it (although I have never used Twinkling h2o's have only seen other people use them and can't compare effect directly.) The range of colours isn't perfect-considering there are 21 colours, there is no red for instance-but they are quite dense, very shimmery and I am very happy with them. I have tested them on acetate with the watercolour solution which works really well.
