As posted elsewhere, I went to Ally Pally last weekend and signed up for some of the workshops. They were only an hour each, so there wasn't time to cover that much - or to finish the projects, but I did make myself complete them the next day as otherwise I knew they would be thrown in a corner not to be seen for years. The projects were very simple, but quite effective and I enjoyed the workshops.
The first is a Crazy Patch Christmas stocking, which I signed up for as I wanted to find out more about crazy patchwork. When I first moved down to London, my landlady was a patchworker and I remember she made a crazy patchwork quilt which she sometimes used to put on my bed.

The second was Mastering the French Knot - a cottage needlecase. I signed up for this class as I have never really properly mastered French knots as I find they get a bit tangled. The only thing was, at this workshop they were MEANT to be messy - oh well, will have to find another way of practising!
