So far, since joining this site I seem to have just griped about QVC! I'm not usually such a moaner ;) but I am again, peeved with QVC!
My last thread was about a set of 200 white cards being delivered just over a week ago, packaged badly, just placed in a box, with no wrapping or protection. They arrived all dog eared and bashed. They've gone back now to QVC (still waiting for a refund of course) - but I left a review. I gave it two stars and said it was purely because of the packaging and that I saw, in earlier reviews going back to Seo 2008 that these cards were poorly packaged then...but QVC have not published my review! It was over a week ago. Are QVC becoming choosy now, over what they publish, I wonder?

Thankyou Aunti....if you do decide to the link is:

Perhaps they didn't publish mine because it would certainly put people off buying it completely? From what I have read on gere, QVC are becoming poor with their packaging lately.

I did a bad review for a HOTP kit once and it was never published. Seems they don't want too many poor reviews. I don't think they should be allowed to pick and choose the reviews unless of course they are rude or obscene

I did a bad review once for an ice cream maker (which had average 1 star reviews so you can tell it was pretty awful!). It didn't appear, although other (good) reviews that I posted at the same time for other products did appear.

After about a week, I reposted the bad review and this time it was published.

I've published quite a few poor reviews that have appeared - bear in mind that QVC don't run the review system, they say that it is done by an external company who are supposed to make sure that the reviews shown include both good and bad reviews in the same proportion as those written. Once or twice mine havn't shown up but have when I've written it again. So to be fair I don't think it's that QVC picking and choosing to publish more good than bad reviews.

So have I Marie-I left 2 stars recently and that was published. I even added that QVC need to look at their packing more thoroughly on another review and that was published too.

Was it for those awful twin tub one that you put in the freezer.....I used it a couple of times and then chucked it in the bin.

Then I bought the cook's essential one, the inner gel disc needed to be frozen longer than stated but at least the ice-cream comes out lovely. I put a bad review for it then I wanted to change my review to a more positive one and they wouldn't let me......

Yes it was Fab - to be honest I don't know what possessed me to buy it in the first place

I got them to pick it up & got original postage refunded too - there wasn't any debate about it, I think they must have known what a duff product it was!

Apparently it supposed to spin every so often on its own but I think my freezer is too......freezing ! I use to end up with a solid block of cream. I honestly managed to make something passable once putting the unit at the bottom of the freezer where the element was missing but I really had enough and put it away just to 'discover' it a year later so put it in the bin ! It was too late to ask for any sort of money.

The cook's essential one is brilliant and I made lovely italian chocolate gelato (gianduja flavour), I like the fact I can use sugar substitute (Zsweet) so I"m not getting my diabetes whacked with the commercial deadly sugary stuff.

Your gelato sounds yummy, Fab :)

I don't actually eat that much ice cream anyway - I concluded in the end that it would be a lot less palaver just to buy the occasional tub! The top of the maker I got didn't fit properly onto the tubs unless I taped it on - so when the paddles moved, so did the whole thing

It was quite handy that I actually tried it quite soon after buying, which often isn't the case with me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to send it back either.

It was worth posting this thread as I love icecream and am tempted now by the Cook's essentials maker!

I shall try again with QVC and post that review again...this time it might appear, you never know!:o It hasn't put me off QVC (I wonder what they'll have to do to me to put me off?!) as I've now ordered some DCWV adhesive stacks...which got very good reviews!:D
Thanks for listening, everyone!
