I'm getting a headache browsing for a stuff to make a card themed around brass bands (another shared interest I have with my dad) - I've found some trumpet charms (at Foilplay) & a couple of peel offs that have brass instruments in amongst other instruments, but nothing with a sort of 'Wow' factor. I don't really want to buy a stamp (not that I've found one as such - but I prob wouldn't use it again), so I'm looking for a decent backing paper & a nice focal embellishment. I was hoping not to go down the route of a musical score/notes if poss - I know there's a lot of that type of design about.
And of course the biggest factor in this search is cost...
I think that Dufex do a decoupage sheet with musical instruments on. I know it's a bit vague, but I think Wins does Dufex. Apologies if I'm wrong Welly - it just rings a bell somewhere in the back of my mind. :)

haven't found any backing paper but maybe some help/inspiration here?

Yes there is a Freestyle sheet (& yup, Wins has it :D), but it's kind of 'mixed' instruments IYSWIM - bit of everything, not particularly brass band stuff

why not google images print them off and decoupage them, also look for pics of music notes and print hem on to vellum as a backing that what I do if I get stuck for a crafty item .:rolleyes:

There are a few Kanban bits & pieces that may be suitable - a die cut music toppe (http://www.foilplay.co.uk/default.aspx?item=kbpct8057)r & a monochrome one (http://www.foilplay.co.uk/default.aspx?item=kbpct8025) (although again they are a mix of instruments), there is also a vintage brass backing card (http://www.foilplay.co.uk/default.aspx?item=kbcrd9036) (along with other musical themed backing card from the Music & Dance TSV).
Putting 'music' in the search box brought up a few options that I'd forgotten about :o including a Dufex topper sheet (http://www.foilplay.co.uk/default.aspx?item=dufex92).
HTH with a few more ideas anyway :)

Thanks all - don't worry Wins, I've already scoured Foilplay & have bits n' bobs sitting in my virtual basket :D Tis usually my first stop!
ATM I'm wandering down the 3 identical toppers avenue made with the trumpet charms from Foilplay unless something else leaps out. It may have to be a musical score background after all...
