Butterflies

On a gentle breeze
Gossamer wings take flight
And they shimmer like silk
As they catch the light
From each flower the nectar
They gentle sip
Then in to the air they gently flit
On gossamer wings
They take to the skies
Those delicate dainty butterflies.

Pink Pig - I've just noticed the pin in your butterfly. Ouch!

Yes, I was thinking of those Victorians who collected them and kept them in drawers as in ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’.

I used to visit a well-to-do elderly couple with my grandfather and they had some butterflies in frames. I thought they were lovely then!

These are my fab ATCs this month.
On the left, Wings by Mitzi, a lovely specimen!
Top right is Butterfly Wings by Pink Pig, pretty layers and textures.
Also on the right is Busy Bees by Little Jan, adorable colours and embossing.
And the envelope they arrived in was sealed with a bee.

I am really injoying doing the ATC's
I do online postage to send mail, but having trouble getting stamps for the return envelope,
Our nearest post office is in a little shop in the next village and they are only letting people draw pensions at the moment
I ordered stamps in my last Tesco order I managed to book 3 weeks ago
order came today but no stamps
so I might have to pop in the return postage money when I send them

I've been sorting my stamps, and found this old bi-plane. I'm going to do more stamping this year, hence my confession to having bought some Julie Hickey stamps.
