Where can you get them? I have one of the lovely Anna Griffin ones that were a TSV with albums/papers some time ago (maybe three years?). But I have failed to find anything like them since. I know on occasions K&co have done a kit with a box, but nothing as nice as the Anna Griffin ones.

I've tried doing an ebay and google search but can't come up with anything that I could use. I'm happy to decorate my own box if I could find one big and sturdy enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

I was thinking of Lindy Bowman boxes too. Depends on what size you need the box

If LB produced a set of bespoke boxes with crafting designs and sizes, he'd be onto a winner with us lot! Say 3 x 12"x12", 3 x 8"x8" and a few 6"x6", plus the odd A4 and A5? I know I'd be keen - bit fed up with looking at the storage area of the QVC craft selection and seeing loads of LB kits that aren't really crafty! IMHO.

I need a couple of boxes to keep a few finished albums too. Have looked before and have never seen them, would love to know if you find any

12x12 would be no good for finished albums though would it. The albums themselves surely are nearer to 14x14, its only the contents that are 12x12. I agree about storage for them though, that would be a great idea.

LoobyHow right you are - let's hope one of the scrapbook manufacturers - or Kanban or LB - get the message!

So true, I cant really believe that there isnt a market out there for nice album presentation boxes as lots of albums are given as gifts surely.

When you have a wedding album from a photographer it's always presented in a lovely box, so they must be available somewhere. Might be worth contacting a few wedding photographers?

Really useful boxes do a scrapbook box for £5 something, big enough for albums but very plain. I keep my 12x12s in mine.
I love the lindy bowman boxes and would defo buy some, how could we suggest it to them?

I emailed a suggestion to QVC. I got a fairly stock answer thst they would pass the request to their buyers. I guess from request to market research, design, contract, manufacture, delivery would take a while

They are great as storage boxes, but alas no good for a presentation box.

I emailed them yesterday as well, I tried to find contact details for the Lindy Bowman Co on the web but failed.

UP DATE, I never did get a reply from C.S. so yesterday when Lindsy Bowman was on air I rang C.S. and asked if they had contact details for them, she said no they hadn't but if I told her what I wanted she would email them now. ??? How if they don't have contact details.? I'll let you know if I hear anything but don't hold your breath.

What I'd like is for a UK company to stock these.

They have them on Amazon.com too but not our Amazon.:(

Like all of you I'm always on the look out for boxes for my scrapbooks as they always are given as gifts.
The one on ebay that linnick suggested is ideal but at £17.50 I'm afraid that is a bit steep for me to pay, considering how much I spend making the scrapbooks, but I can understand why it is that much money as it is obviously going to be pretty strongly made box.
A few scrapbooks for friends have come in boxes and I have just had to make them do when presenting them to friends.
I'm not sure how I'm going to present the one I'm busy with atm. Have got some paper to cover the box it arrived in but the book is so thick now the lid won't fit that neatly onto it.
I guess if we could get card large enough and think enough we could probably make our own.............oh I feel a mission coming on now............who started this thead???!!! LOL :D

Now girls have found a cake box that is 12x12x4!!!
I'm sure us crafters could make it into something special, it's got a round film window on the top but this is looking promising for me!

http://www.ryepac.co.uk/cake_boxes_prd_CKBX.aspx

incase you want to look it up or search for larger sizes!

Or you could try pizza boxes!!!

http://www.bagnboxman.co.uk/acatalog/pizza-boxes-foodsafe.html

We could decorate them no probs!

I've just bought one of these and can cover it in paper make it more sturdy if needed and decorate!!!

Lindy Bowman was the first name that sprang to my mind when I saw this question. Also, Costco often do these style of boxes, but in a stacking set. Got an address for Mr Bowman but no email:7180 Troy Hill Drive, Elkridge, Maryland 21075, USA. Found it in papers relating to a court case on Gift Wrap in a Snap!!!

I'm amazed at some of the suggestions. I would have thought that after spending loads of time and money on a special scrapbook that you would all want to finsih it off with something special. Is the cake box and pizza box a joke??? If not, what do you use for the scrapbook paper - chip paper?!?.

Actually mae my 'cake box' looked beautiful when I had finished with it. It was covered completely in stunning baby blue wrapping paper which was taped to the box, you could not tell the box was white underneath and it would not come off. It was embellished with jewels, ribbon and beautiful hand crafted baby tags. It no longer looked 'a joke!!!' But something a crafter had put her heart and soul into and spent a whole day on. My scrapbooks are not just thrown at people, I care about them too much for that! They are lovingly put together. The scrapbook inside had been delicately placed with hand stamped tissue paper and confetti.
It's a shame your very first post is so negative - perhaps your next one might be a little more kinder and more thoughtfully composed.

I have spent a great deal of time and money making scrapbooks and have struggled tofind suitable boxes for presentation. Mae we crafter's can be very resorceful when we need to be hence the decorating of pizza boxs etc.It has been a case of need must. However I purchased one of the boxs off ebay for £12 +postage that I meantioned earlier on in the thread and I must say it is worth every penny. Just a bit of ribbon and a few gems and it looks fantastic. I intend to buy another one for my work in progress and it will hold 2 scrapbooks with ease. I remember making an album for a friend of her grandchildren and I made the box. I cringe when I see it as the corners came unstuck and she fixed them with electrical tape. May be I will buy her a proper box. One more thing Mae chip paper isn't acid and lignen free!!!

This is what crafting is all about.........making things beautiful. My box certainly was! Crafting is an art form. Thanks for your input linnick. Much appreciated!

Linnick and Juliet, I'm defintely with you guys on the 'making beautiful' front. I'm only a newbie to papercraft, but I thought turning bits of card and paper was all it was about??? I am intrigued by the description of what you did with your boxes, any chance of a pic?
Also, do you think that the famous cake boxes would work for 12x12 paper storage? As a beginner, storing stash is more of an issue than presentation boxes at the moment, as I don't yet have a single finished album to my name! :-)

Way to go Mae, how to win friends and influence people.

Very well put Juliet. I bet it looked stunning when it was done.

A bit like Mae's tongue then lin.

Seriously, why on earth would someone come on a forum and hurl insults for their first post. What a numpty.

:wink:Hi SS. thanks for your posting! I wish i had taken a pic of the box but didn't I need to get a grip of how to get pics on this site!
I prefer to store my papers in hard plastic boxes which are about 12x12 size. I buy them from a craft fayre which is held twice a year in our area. There are lots of storage ideas out there. You could probably have a thread on this subject alone. I'm sure there will be lots of people giving you great ideas! :sun:

Linnick I see the seller on ebay has more colours in than the last time I looked. I think she only had Lilac in when I looked the first time this topic was raised. I am tempted by the pale blue one but the present scrapbook I'm working on already comes in a box luckily this time. I have just contacted the site where I get quite a few bits of my scrapbooking stuff from, The Craftz Boutique to ask if they have ever considered selling boxes.

It does seems strange that nobody should have thought to seel suitably sized scrapbook boxes, as it is so obvious that there would be a market for it!! It seems a no-brainer to me!

Thanks genierose for that input, it's appreciated. I've made a note of the site.
I have been in touch with the scrapbooking company I deal (craftz boutique) and asked if they have ever considered selling these type of boxes.
Their reply sounded really promising. It was something they hadn't considered before but they are looking into it atm!
I directed them to this thread so they are aware there is a market out there for the product! :clapping:

Hi all I too have tried everywhere to get a decent box to put my finished scrapbooks in & also so the person receiving one can keep it safely in. No dog eared corners etc.I think some manufacturer would be on to a winner should they make one, but also not too dear considering how much its cost us to make in the first place......Hurry Up Please you manufacturers ...getting desperate

Hear Hear. Having said that you know the tales some people have about toddlers who were far more excited about the cardboard box than the expensive toy that was in it - or the pets that have hours of endless fun with boxes but ignore the toy that was specially designed for them to play with, well I have to include myself in this group.

How excited was I by the gift box that came with the bath robe last christmas. It was a lovely sturdy glossy classy black box with lid that was 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 and perfect for a scrapbook that was just waiting for a presentation box to walk into it's life. Yay what a gift box :mysmilie_378::mysmilie_378::mysmilie_378: the robe was quite nice too lol
