POTW Friday 25 September

The potw launching this Friday is the MCS Mystical Metallics double cd. I love this one, there are some gorgeous designs on it! :flower:


I got it wrong!! It is not Mystical Metallics it is Mystical Wonders! New ones not been on before. Sorry if I got anybody excited about getting the Metallics one. They fooled me by putting the gold leaf sheets on the show with it, like they did with the other one!!!

It was potd with a verses cd and gold leaf. This time it is just the 2 cds at a lower price.

Yippee missed it last time. I quite like the MCS cds so might give this one a go. OMG can I really justify spending any more dosh on card crafts this month??????

God help me, I'm watching the launch show right now & I kinda like it :eek: Not that I'm even close to buying though - haven't even been able to instal the freebie CD from the other month due to lack of memory space on the laptop :dull:

Nigel's being his usual entertaining self too - he snogged Diane before LOL And he was being very funny when I caught a little of the decoup show earlier too

Haven't managed to see the show yet. A crisis on one of "my" forums. Will wait to see more before I decide whether to buy or not. Gone off CDs a bit after getting two Debbi Moore CDs this week. Managed to get them to work now (see my reply on that thread). My previous CD purchases have been Flower Fairies (still missing bits despite following instructions) and one from Peerless designs that is just a bit boring.

Maybe I am in a worse depression than I thought. Tend to go off everything when the black cloud strikes

Have you tried adjusting the size before you print. There is a button that says resize on it and if you click on that, you can alter the margins before you print, if you made it so you had deeper margins, it should sort of shift the artwork up a bit, so you should get your missing bits.

Tried changing the margins. Think the one set of fairies "gained" feet but the butterflies on another sheet weren't all there. When I have an hour or two to spare I am going to fiddle with it some more.

Some really nice card and ribbon being pushed yesterday as well and I could be tempted with that. Problems of living alone - no body around to confiscate my credit card

You could do what I do to get decent prints. I find some of the CC cds print out awful when I do them straight from the CC cd. So I have started taking them into MCS and printing them from there and they print out much better for some reason. It is quite fiddly though to get them in cos when you find the cc cd on the list at the left of the screen, every single design and colour is in a different file. So it is a case of keep opening files till you find the one you are looking for, then put it in mCS and do whatever you want with it.

Printed out a Christmas Tree fairy last night and it printed awful. Going to have to do all that to print from this cd as well. Much as i like the Flower fairies cds (and other cc cds as well), it does put me off using them when I have all this hassle to get a good print.

I agree Budgie, i love CC cdroms, and the flower fairies ones dont seem to be that good, i didnt buy this lot as i got stung last time, i bought all the stamps and triple cd set, it was my biggest investment for over 3 yrs and i was so let down with it. I hadnt had any feet etc cut off but the quality of the print from the flower fairies themselves were quite blurred and rough around the edges. I actually think it's CC that is doing it, when they say they cleaned them up and brought them 'up to date', they seem to be doing it on the cheap as the graphics arent half as good as the originals or CC's usual cdroms for that matter!
also another way of getting your imges from any cds is to ignore the 'autoplay' shut it down, go to 'my computer' click on the D or E drive, where your cd is and right click over it, click on explore and then copy and paste all the images or the images you think you'll want to use and put them on your desktop (for easy finding) or into a folder on another drive and then get them whilst in MCS, thats the quickest and easiest way, it seems you are trying to do it the longest way round for you Budg, hope this helps you or anyone else who needs it
