Has anyone ordered from Create and Craft's new website and had credit card details automatically saved?
I've always left without saving them in the past but when I made an order last night I didn't have that option.I don't have a problem with QVC storing them but am not sure with C&C.

Haven't ordered from the new site yet, Judith. I have to conur with your nervousness, when they launched their previous websites there was many a horror story on ST.com about them taking unauthorised payments, so I have never trusted them. I don't think that you can keep anyone's payment details without their permission so I would call their HQ and ask for them to be removed.

I placed my first order on the new site early this morning & was mildy annoyed to find that there's no option to pay without leaving card details saved  I don't like it much either (for any site not just IW) - but I think you have to enter the security code each for each subsequent order on the new site, so, in theory, they shouldn't be able to make any unauthorised charges

I placed two orders and as well as being asked for my security pin I also had to have my payment authorised by Barclays.Don`t know if it`s the same with other bank cards though.

Hi Jeanfan,

I'm with NatWest and it's the same as Barclays.

When you have your payment authorised by your bank, check the amount being deducted. I placed an order last week and it stated that my C&C discount has not been deducted, but when I checked with the bank it had.

Yes, did this with me yesterday & I'm with Barclays.
I was a bit surprised that they even had my card info, as this was the first order I've placed with them since the web revamp.
I agree with Judith & Dips, I always elect not to have IW store my card details too for the same reason.

I was surprised, I ordered some stamps today (first order for months) and they had my old card number 'remembered'. I've never saved it when ordering before:eek:. Put my new card details in and it wouldn't accept the CV2 number. So went back again once the order had been taken off and put the details in again and it was OK. Wonder if I made an error when I put the long number in the first time. Didn't think I had though!
