Does anyone know what this die cutter is like?
It is on offer at under £25 but I dont know if it can be used with other dies or what the results are like, so any info would be useful.

Because I'm so nosy I went in search of this item, saw a video of it on DoCrafts website, looks pretty good, wonder if I've done the right thing in going for yesterdays TSV now.

Thats how I discovered it a few days ago when the tsv was first leaked. I didnt want to pay as much as the tsv, as I already have the Slice cutter, but I thought under £25 sounded very resonable. Unfortunately I cant get anymore information about it, no other replies, so I'll probably let it drop for now. Its the cost of all the differnt dies thats putting me off, thats why I went for the Slice as it cut different sizes from the sone shape.

Yesterdays tsv did look very impresive and I hope you're going to be pleased with it when it arrives in the post.

seems very cheap for a diecutter - is it full size or similar to a sidekick

I think it's small like the Double Do or Sidekick, my advice - buy a bigger one, cos these just aren't large enough to get the job done!

Just had another check on the website, it takes 15 cm width which is close to 6 inches, pretty good I'd say.

No, that one really is the equivalent of a sidekick.

I believe the £45 is much more like the Double Do, indeed may even be the Double Do badged differently.

I've got a confession to make, I've ordered one.
Will compare that and the CB from QVC, CB may go back, may not, I've already confessed to OH.

is it compatible with other dies on the market? Does it take the large sizzix and does it emboss?

IMHO still think you cant beat a CB.

I'd be interested to know what you think of it when you get it. It looks to me as if it can only take thin dies and embossing folders, so may not work with Sizzix dies and other similar large dies. Your Bug on the other hand will work with all of the Sizzix dies as well as embossing folders and steel dies. I might be wrong of course but that's what it looks like from the pictures.

You've got it in one PurplePig, LOL.

I've primarily gone for it for the brass embossing aspect and using the larger stencils.

Looks like I'll be keeping both of them, LOL.

Thank You Rich and Tru-Ella.

Oh:D you rascal, please let me know what its like? Interested to know if it will take other dies for cutting, not too interested in embossing.

Hello Spurs,

Will do. I'm new to all this so don't have any of the equipment, this will be my first foray into manual die cutting.

On the bit of movie on the DoCrafts website it mentions Quickutz I believe (trying to remember off the top of my head).
As Rich said on another thread it doesn't look deep enough (the slot) to do many of the bigger dies.

Thanks Jan, I'll await your report!

Well Spurs, the beast has arrived, came yesterday.
The slot is roughly ½ wider than the Bug slot, looks to be a bit shallower too.
I'm not sure I'm going to bother to try it to be honest, can't see me sending it back as it's so heavy, heavens knows how much it will cost (cost £4.99 to get here).
I might keep it, just in case, or I may ask my friend if she'd like it for her birthday (she has a Craft Robo for cutting), I know she has a few brass stencils (and a light box).
Sorry I haven't been much help Spurs.

Thanks Jan for getting back. Sounds a bit of a waste of money then, unless you want to use it for embossing, which I dont. Oh well never mind, sounded too good to be true.
