I got the email too and am so impressed, especially with the movers and shapers and the border dies. Just think the p&p on such heavy items, together with shipping costs may make them as expensive but Im gonna have to get some pennies together so when they are out I can start to build my Tim collection lol.

Looks like the TSV could only be something that includes either the book/ stamps/new distress inks.

From Tim's blog today - http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/02/randomness.html

Q -"when is all the new cha stuff shipping?"-

Well that's a hard question to answer with one specific date, but here's what i do know...
*new distress inks have already been shipping from ranger - woo hoo!
*new stamps from stampers anonymous have already been shipping - awesome!
*new idea-ology started shipping monday 2/15 and more to ship at the beginning of march - so far so good!
*new alterations from sizzix will be shipping by the end of this month and through april - i had some last minute art changes to a few things so most will be shipping now, but some won't be until later (you know how us creative types are!)

Seems those of us wanting dies, paper stacks, machine etc will have to be patient.

I could be wrong, my memory sometimes has huge 'oles in it. I used this site in the last couple of months, http://www.ohmycrafts.com/, as a point of reference for an upcoming item and it sparked comments regarding it's reliability.
I don't remember in what regard I posted it perhaps somebody can help out here, it was pretty recently and might have been around last craft day.

In the speculation around the Sir Tim TSV one of the new items being forgotten about are the lush new papers. Scroll this http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/01/ideaology-anyone.htmlpage past the book and be prepared to drool, he even makes pink grungey but in a girlie way IYKWIM :)

I have shopped with omc for years. In the past there were issues with long delays and emails never answered. They have improved greatly and now ship in stock items much quicker - often within a few days - and my emails are always answered promptly, usually same day (bearing in mind the time difference). Btw I have no connections with omc, just like everyone to get a bargain!! Oh and they call it a 'gift' so there's no duty either :)

They wouldn't be any duty either if they tick merchandise as with the new January ruling, one can order up to £ 135 with no duty nor Vat apparently. Avoiding the Royal Mail charge of £8 to collect the duty on belhaf of Custom & Excise.

The reason that ordering from the States is also cheaper is because they don't add the sales tax and their prices are quoted without it. So it's good news ! :D

I haven't looked at the increase yet but be wary. When they put it up last year to about £100 ish I merrily ordered lots of stuff from the USA (not omc) and got stung by the po. When I queried it they said it was only the vat allowance that had changed not the duty (or vice versa, I can't remember!!). Whichever it was, it meant the £18 allowance still applied so I had to pay. I don't know what the new rule means cos I don't really understand it all but just a heads up on what happened to me!

Have used this site for a while now, and their carts are really low in price, even with the postage, have never had any problems with anything I have bought from them, but I can only speak as I find, it is interesting to hear others point of view though. still very frustrated regarding my faulty cricut/gypsy bundle which I had foolishly downloaded all my carts on, so have called it quits and sold them all. still looking around for the "right die cutter" if any suggestions. sorry gone off topic

can you sell them after downloading them all? I was wondering that myself.

yes you can as they still work on any cricut machine, as long as you state they have been downloaded.

I've found sites in Britain offering the dies on pre-order for prices which are almost the same as the ones quoted on OMC - avoids dealing with the added taxes etc.

Worth checking out I think.

Welcome spiderwoman and yes agree if you look around you can get excellent value, just saw the e.mail and thought some may not have seen the new dies, also think OMC is a great site, not always the cheapest, as you have pointed out, but is in the running, so it IS best to shop around :D

:) Thank you all for the warm welcome. And for all the info - how do you do it SCW?

I have found the threads really helpful for planning (who do I think I'm kidding????) my purchases for craft day.

I love Tim Holtz and my problem is I want everything....Book, inks, paint....

Good thing I have to go to work on Tuesday or it would be beans all 'round for the rest of the month!
