I like the black and white ones but can't buy (spent enough recently) whats a bit confusing though is that the website is showing the "bearing gifts" option as having square cards and the "active bear" having A6 cards when in fact it is the opposite way round. does anyone else think that the black and white cards look very similar to a well known high street card shop bear only he has touches of blue not red?

I couldn't bear to watch it live! I hadn't realised just how calm and almost normal the craft weekend had been (Howard excepted) up to now till I caught Ms Weightman and Malcolm and the inane carrying on. Honestly, she's like a schoolgirl with a crush! Guess I'll be recording and runing through the next few programemes on Fast Forward.

I watched a bit of this last night. Did anyone manage to follow the demo that Malcolm Marsden did with the card that had the angled cut on the front with the triangles as a kind of border? I just couldn't understand what on earth he was talking about - "well you kind of score it at 3 and 4 and 5 and then fold it". Perhaps he was nervous or perhaps I am thick but he didn't make any sense at all.

Hurrah!! C&C are doing me proud this weekend - my enforced 'buying holiday' has been made sooooooo much easier by them having 2 kits that I really really really do not want in the tiniest slightest bit :D

I was half watching - was that right before 10pm? It's difficult to describe, but he just seemed to be folding the corner backwards & forwards on itself in a concertina. I think he confused the issued by a) not actually demo-ing the scoring part of the process & just waffling a bit about which score lines he used & b) adding the triangle of vellum to cover the white bits as the card he used wasn't double-sided & therefore having his DST in the wrong place so he couldn't show it properly completed - I turned over to watch Family Guy at 10pm so I missed the completion of the demo. If I get chance later I'll try & take some photos of me trying to do the same thing

It was cringeworthy watching Malcolm demoing, it would be like me mending a pipe! Sorry sounding sexist, but the guy from Dufex does great demos. Sorry Malcolm, you're better off behind the scenes!
The POTD will be reduced in a couple of weeks, no point in buying!

You resisted the bears then ROC ;) :D I don't mind Malcolm (he makes me laugh sometimes, Steph doesn't seem to know quite how to deal with some of his more risky comments), his ideas are quite good, he's just a bit fingers & thumbs & not so good at talking & doing - he just can't multi-task. And he seems to know his 'paper engineering', getting all his measurements in & the like, but he's no good at getting the info over & as they're working kinda quickly in between the hard selling, he doesn't have time to give his instructions out properly
If I was really pushed I'd say I liked the Active Bears kit more - I like that it's B/W & square...

TBH, I like bears, but am not a fan of these types of bears, same with Forever Friends and those grey and blue ones in Hallmark - they aren't mad enough for me. Also they will reduce it v soon and it is badly cut decoupage. I think Malcom and Steph were both very unprofessional and just rubbish really.

Hmmm, I've just popped over to the C&C site to be greeted with a 'Sold Out' flash across a corner of the Jingle Bears kit on the Home Page. I ain't heard about either option selling out...
I saw about ten minutes of Stephanie and Malcolm this morning and it was the worst craft telly I have ever seen. Far too many awkward silences and then Steph would start babbling any crap she could think of. Truly awful.

I watched some of it today, poor Malcolm, demonstrating really isn't his forte. He looked completely out of his depth. I do think that Ideal World are insulting our intelligence by casting him as a "craft expert" I quite liked the black and white kit but what is it with all the other Red Hot Bed stuff that is being flogged. How many variations of foil card can there be?
I was just going to ask if he was Mr Michelle, but as Crafty Anne has mentioned Red Hot Bed (what sort of name is that for a craft company?!) I will assume that he is.

red hot bed is named after the hot foiling machine the copany uses for its products
Ive done a workshop with Michelle and Malcolm and they were boh brilliant.Very generous with their ideas designs and tips. I think Malcolm just wasnt given the tiime to explain and maybe he was missing Michelle.
Michelle was in Bridlington doing a workshop for us and we had another brilliant day

Thanks for that maisie*daisy. I still prefer to wonder what else the name might be referring to though. ;)
Glad you enjoyed your workshop too. I know lots of people aren't keen on Michelle on the telly, and Dawn Bibby comes in for a lot of flak too, but people who meet them in real life always say how friendly they are and generous with their time which is really nice to hear. :)

Did I just here Steph say she would be back with Michele tomorrow night  ???
I know earlier today she bipped on about Michele being busy putting a kit together which was why she was unable to accompany Malcolm...

Why don't they just stop messing about and get rid of the IW name and call the channel Create & Craft 2?
As I posted on Shopping Telly, I used to like making cards but this channel has stolen that enjoyment from me.
I'm afraid I refuse to buy from a company that so clearly don't give two hoots about their customers and only see them as pound signs!
Sorry for my first post on here being a bit of a rant, but as you can tell, I am not a fan of IW craft or Weightman or The Marsden Mafia!
Anyway, will go for a lie down and a check to see what's on other channels at 9pm tomorrow night!

Welcome Tolly, but please don't let C&C put you off card making, there are lots of other outlets for buying goodies, and this site will help you find them!

there is some new die cut clutter for christmas and been an animal fan I love the one with the dog on a bed :),but I hate white bits on edges so had to cut around the edges anyway. The designs are cute though.
Unless the P&P is free I dont buy from C&C anymore

Ooo - I'll keep an eye out for that, haven't spotted it as yet. I remember ages ago we had a thread where most peeps said they didn't personally like clutter cards, but when people receive them they think they're fantastic.
My SIL keeps asking me about the Christmas clutter card designs cos she bumped into them once over while she was having a nosey about online. She seem particularly taken with the front door one. I think she's itching to make one :D

Ahhhhhhh - I've had their 'other' - rather than Ebay - site bookmarked for ages Craft Paper and Card (http://www.craftpaperandcard.co.uk/)! I tried to buy from them once but had a problem trying to make a CC payment (can't remember exactly what it was, I think there was a prob with their link to PayPal....) so ended up buying elsewhere.
I see from the site that not only are there new Christmas Clutter designs, but also die-cut versions of some of the old Christmas Clutter too - that'll interest my SIL LOL She crafts with me every so often, but isn't madly into it & wouldn't really want to cut out...

I agree ROC - I stumbled across this site earlier in the week and kept clicking on home thinking I was missing a page. I think the details that should be at the top of the page are actually down the bottom.
