Hope nobody minds if I post a link to this blog as a reminder that we should be extra careful with our heatguns and unplug them when they are not in use.

Blimey - and I thought melting the carpet was bad (well it was but we've moved since then):blush:

I remember when you did that one evening and we were helping you . . . well telling you to put a piece of furniture on top of the evidence! :happy:

thanks for the hint. It had never dawned on me but my little girlie cat loves pressing anything that looks like it might move. She managed to turn the kettle on once, luckily there was water in it.

Thanks for the warning. I always try to unplug it, but this warning will really help me remember.
