I received this lovely card from Satincollie yesterday. It's lovely thank you very much Gill.

Unfortunately the colours aren't true, I took this photo last night and tried again this morning but this mornings were worse. Sorry Gill.

The beautiful girl is called Toyah.

I love the jaunty angle! It's a lovely pic - and that's from someone who's not an animal person at all! (Don't all round on me because I know that most of you are quite the opposite!)

Posting on behalf of Williamspringer, picture of the card I sent herhttp://img36.imageshack.us/img36/3097/019kg.th.jpg (http://img36.imageshack.us/i/019kg.jpg/)

The centre part was embroidered on to black fabric by machine, the card itself was hand embroidered

That's brill LJ, no wonder Williamspringer was so chuffed with it - as someone who breaks out in a cold sweat at the very mention of the words 'sewing' or 'embroidery', I am obviously hugely impressed, as that is something I could never do!
Love all the little fireworky words too! lol :star:

Here is my truly beautiful card from Pam, I love it! Pam said this is 'a picture of my favourite rose, taken earlier this year'! Isn't it gorgeous & I love the gold flutterbies & twirly bits too:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49506827@N03/5119954939/" title="2010_10270004 by Jane Kell1, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1233/5119954939_37925bcfb8_z.jpg" width="480" height="640" alt="2010_10270004" /></a>

That is a beautiful rose, it reminds me of a (very old) one we had in a previous garden, do you know the name of it Pam?
(It's almost on the tip of my tongue but not quite, does it have a very fresh & sweet but not overpowering scent?)
Thank you again, I love my card! x

Arrggh no, hope Phree doesn't see this as she was squawking about me saying something about 'we English' (missing out the Scots see! lol) only a week or so back, so won't miss the chance to gloat & mock about the superior Scottish countryside or something! LOL

Northumberland is one of my favourite counties though, fantastic for walking & the beaches are amazing!

This card from Kitten-with-Claws arrived today. I hope the picture does it justice, because it's WONDERFUL. The sunset is spectacular and the surrounding mats/layers co-ordinate beautifully. You're a master of matting and layering as they're so precise and neat. I wonder if you took the photo outside your home like I did with mine. Thank you again.

Glad you like it Victoria!

Sadly, the colours in the photo were beyond the capabilities of my little printer & after wasting an entire pack of ruddy photo paper, about half a trial ink cartridge & having DH fiddle about with GIMP etc. for the best part of an evening, I was almost ready to give up as printer just couldn't capture the golden tones of how it really was & seemed determined to make it all bright orange!

DH surprised me in the morning by bringing back prints he'd gone & got done in town especially, he'd stood there with some little old techie guy behind the counter for ages whilst they pored over it together & fiddled with the colour balance until they'd got it as best they could to the 'real life' colours! lol

Gosh, your DH is a great assistant isn't he!! Remember to tell him that his efforts are greatly appreciated. You've both produced a fantastic card!

My lovely card from Millburn arrived today:

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff110/Wellybobs/Card%20Swaps/MillburnOct20.jpg

The image itself is printed on acetate then backed with glitter card - I tried but failed in the dull light we have ATM to capture the sparkle of the glitter. Looks like flecks of dust instead - sorry.

Millburn tells me that this will be a view she will have everyday in her new house (though possibly not the stunning sunset every day!). The tree didn't survive the hostile winter we had last year though

Welly; I think you've done okay with the photo, I know I struggled to get a decent picture too, I'm gald it arrived safely, and sorry it was so late

As for the mounting; having decided to do acetate with the glitter behind (idea stolen/borrowed from J. Sheen) I then realised I could glue the bottom , but then the top half might curl, and could I find any photo corners when I needed them, not a hope

Victoria Lovely card the colors match the photo perfectly

Kitten , waht a fantastic photo, and the verse sums it up to a T.

Milburn, what a lovely card I do love all these beautifull views, how wonderfull to see it everyday. I used to have lovely views from the velux window if I stood on stall, miles of country side, but the conifers have now grown too tall, must get someone in to cut them back before we loose all daylight LOL.trouble is they want an arm and a leg to do them.

My lovely card from Welly has just arrived
the Picture is of a park she too her DS(no not the games machine)LOL when he was about 8 months old
behind the main imagine Welly has cleverly printed a larger paler version onto vellum and then placed a photo behind the vellum so it just shows through. I love the autumn colours
