I want to say thank you for all the wonderful cards I've received today. Each and every one of them is delightful and will be treasured.

Unfortunately I've come down with a bug and feel like carp, so I'm heading off to bed now. I'll post the pictures at the weekend. I hope no-one minds?

So true, Millburn. I love making cards for my forum friends because I know that they are going to appreciate the time and effort put into my creation. I just wish I could find inspiration more quickly sometimes. It seems to take forever for me to make up my mind what I want to do LOL!

I agree with that too, non-card makers I think believe it's like on QVC a 5min thing, like non-cooks think meals appear

Yes, I don't think that non-card makers fully appreciate the effort that goes into making cards. I have, on occasions, done a QVC 5 minute card myself when I've forgotten to make one, but those are rare for me. I have too many un-used kits as a testament to that! Somehow they don't really inspire me, although I'll happily use elements from a kit with my own added something. I really must make an effort to start using up some of my stash! I had a big clear out over Christmas and gave load of stuff away to a lady in the village who makes cards for charity. She and her friends were delighted and it saved me from having to bin it, which I really don't like to do!

Re. card, not printed on acetate, it's a Fancy Pants rub on, I wanted to use that one for ages but couldn't decide on the backing for it but had a sufdden thought & decided to see if it would go on over acetate (see, i told you I know nuffin'! lol).....it did......I shall experiment further with this......mwahahaha! lol

I have to be honest Beth, the roses card is a kit type thing. Although I did turn what was meant to be the finished card into something bigger by matting and layering it up onto another bigger card base. The roses are made though by stitching little loops in green cotton and then you just sort of weave the silk in and out to form a rose. I was quite pleased with the finished article, so I am delighted you enjoyed it too.
