yes they are cancelling the new card and refunding the transaction. I can't think how it could be anyone other than a staff member because of never having used the card.

That is dreadful Mitzi. It is a bit much if we can't trust those who work for the card companies.
I received a text today from O2 saying that there was a problem with my payment. Well there would be, I don't have an account with O2. Anywhoo, my mobile picked it us as a likely scam, so the number is now blocked.
