As name abbreviations are generally only used when talking to or referring to someone in a thread, it's usually quite straightforward. Apart from SCW because we're always talking about him behind his back. ;)

Great idea Welly. I was a bit stumped by 'IIRC' recently.
    Thank you

I hope you don't mind being abbreviated to Welly - I suppose I should have asked first!

That's a bit tricky - we already have a LoobyLou.
    I'll revert to Lola happily!
    DD Dear daugher
    DS dear son
Been reading those as Darling Daughter & Son - suppose it matters not.

    I do'd that one already ;)

I shall now wander off & update the original list with all your additions to make it easier to find

For the record, I was going to do Forum names, but then thought maybe it wasn't as pertinent to the general list - I stand corrected :D

    ermmmmm; I'm a step-mum so it's

    DSS Darling Step-Son
    DSD Darling Step-Daughter

Sorry if I'm being a pain, but as much as some of the the step-kids depend on me; a good part of our good relationship is that I know I'm not Mum; and don't poach, with each 1 I have my place, be it high or low

Only just found this extremely useful post, thanks a lot welly :) I'm useless with abbreviations so this is really helpful for me. Wasn't even sure what all that DH DD business was about, although guessed the D must be for dearest of darling in the end!! :D

Oh and I don't care what people call me, IP, Imp, Impossible, Princess, it's all fine by me :)
