    very good idea. I am involved in another forum where these abbreviations turn up. I share responsibility for several boards and some of the emails shared between my co "workers" look like double dutch as we also abbreviate board names!

    I get stumped when people use :( O) and similer exclamations don't know if they are beeing cheeky or not!!.

    'kay.....what are 'Dips'? is this an abbreviation for something or is it a nickname? Also....many thanks for the explanations on the abbr. very much needed with me, most grateful for all the time taken to do this also.

    Dips is one of our lovely forum members - don't know of any other kind of 'dips'! lol

    MIL - Mother In Law
    FIL - Father In Law
    SIL - Sister In Law
    BIL - Brother In Law



    With us being a crafty forum, there are also a few crafty abbreviations in fairly regular use:

    CT/CT.com – CraftTelly.com (well, d’uh!)
    ST/ST.com – ShoppingTelly (CT’s big sister…or is it brother?) which can be found here

    I'm not Wellington but pretty sure she won't mind you c&p'ing it & putting it where you like....print it out & stick it on your fridge or wall if you want! LOL
