That's great.
That's great.
That's amazing! Looks great.
What a lovely tradition - you are definitely making it feel a lot like Christmas on CT.com.
What an amazing cake, it must be so much fun making it together. Do you decide on the theme beforehand? Just looked at your blog and am very impressed with the work and detail that has gone into it.

Thanks! Most years we just come up with the theme on the day. I use the same house template pretty much every year (last year was an exception because it was the 20th anniversary of the tradition). I'm always amazed at how creative everyone can be with licorice and Smarties! :)
wow that is fantasic , my daughter tried making one but could not get the ginger bread right it always came out like , any sugestions.
Good job I never made one as I would never let anyone near it,daughter laughed as she bought me an advent candle and I said it was too nice to light, so she did it when I was not looking LOL
You don't have to be as mad as a box of frogs to be here but it helps:mysmilie_13:
Wow, thats fantastic and what a lovely tradition!
It was interesting to see Kirsty Alsop making one in her Christmas programme but she didn't have Tom Daley!

Hmmm....I think the biggest thing is to cook the pieces well and let them cool thoroughly before you take them off the baking sheet and start working with them.
I laughed at the advent candle story - that is EXACTLY the sort of conversation I'd have with my mom! And I would have lit it when she wasn't looking as well!
