    Default quilting for beginners?

    Hi peeps, yesterday at ICHF I bought 3 fat quarters of some french chambre material its a dusky rose pink flower print and some stripes on the other, I think I'm going to attempt a small quit with it can anyone point me in the right direction, for easy peasy please.

    Hi Angela, you should take a look at the Missouri Star you tube videos ... there's loads of them and at least half are suitable for beginners. They give great tips & the videos are really easy to follow. You'll find them here http://www.youtube.com/user/MissouriQuiltCo Hope that starts you on the right track!

    Someone asked Jennie, on one of her programmes, what was the best way to start quilting and she said a Nine Square so it may be worth looking for that.

    I bought a couple of books on amazon which were'used' quick quilts to make in a weekend by rosemary wilkinson and traditional patchwork quilt patterns with pkastic templates after watching jenny and these got me started. I have just finished the top kayer of a quilt using blocks of ohio stars and just need to find matching backing fabric. The worst part for me was pressing the seems my other half had to introduce me to the iron!
