    Wow that's amazing Waterlily. It doesn't look like it needs much more work to finish either. I do hope you are able to complete it and find a happy recipient for it.

    You won't think it too bulky if next winter is as bad as this! :)

    Indubitably. It has been one heck of a winter. Autumn wasn't exactly warm either, and we even had the heating on in August! This is from somebody who doesn't like it warmer than 20 or 21 at that. Today is the first time we have had the heating off in ages. Tiz still chilly outside, but obviously the wind is blowing either from right to left, or left to right. No windows on those two sides, just the front and back. The sun gets very strong late in the day, so as the wall is nearly all window, we bought a dark navy blind for the main window, and a pair of gingham curtains for the back door and its ajoining window. They help to keep the cold out during the winter too.

    lol Suban, it's the bulkieness (sp) under the arms that I don't like.

    or toggles and loops , like on a duffle coat ............. err mmmmmmmmmm showing my age here !

    Use a contrast yarn, or similar shade for button band - I don't do zips, or edge to edge (boobs too big for edge to edge even to close)!

    Rather have a zip, don't think it would look right with a contrast band.
