My Daughters engagement cake

.As you know my daughter got engaged 2 weeks ago, I am yet to see the ring in the flesh, but as they are coming to visit on Sunday to sort out the forth coming nuptials, and as I needed something to take my mind of some very sad recent events, I decided to see if my hands would let me make her a cake.
I have used this design using other colour ways and flower designs many times for anniversary cakes and BIL's wedding cake but that was in the days when my fingers were more nimble, it has taken me twice as long and I am not as pleased with the result this time

That's lovely Jan. My daughter got engaged at new year and is getting married next April. We went wedding dress shopping yesterday.

It's stunning Little Jan - you may not be 100% happy with how it turned out but the happy couple will be thrilled with it. If that's not one of your better results I'd have liked to seen one of the others! I think the actual design is lovely too - 2 little love birds aaahhh!
