Vesrse for daughter and fuutre son inlaws wedding card

I am half way through making daughters and future son in laws wedding card
and wanted to do verse that reflected how they met

they met at a amdram club nearly 11 years ago. although they did a lot of shows together, daughter on stage and b/f backstage they never really had much to do with each other.we move here 8 years ago and about 4 years ago they started to keep in touch after Claire went back to do a show.They would meet up every few months then one weekend they went to see Wicked and he asked her out, that was 3 years ago.
so I wrote this little verse

When you both met
How could you know
What the future had in store
Your read the lines
You trod the boards
And heard the laughter roar
Then paths they took a different route
The script so quickly changed
How could you both have know
What fate had rearranged
But this time she was on your side
Your paths would cross once more
A friendship now rekindled
Would turn to something more
They say that life is just a stage
And now it’s time to go
And step into the spotlight
The stars of your own show
