    Default Not Sure

I have just finished this card for my granddaughter's 18th birthday this Saturday but I am not sure about it. Hubby says it's too cluttered and not like my usual stuff. I seem to be struggling these days making cards.

The card is A4 size and I have used the Tonic Butterfly Purse corner dies, Tattered Lace shoe die and champers bottle. The dress is from the Silhouette store cut with my Cameo. I also used my Cameo to cut mats for behind the die cuts and dress. I also did the lattice 18 with my Cameo. The sentiment on the purse was made in the Studio software and printed onto Letraset clear Safmat, foiled then stuck down on the pearl card.

I think it is beautiful - a work of art! what do Hubby's know? I think any girl would be delighted to receive the card.

Hi Dax. Beautiful card with lovely colours and elements. I am sure your granddaughter will love it. Perhaps hubby is right and this isn't your usual style but sometimes it is good to make a card totally different to the norm, it doesn't mean it isn't right. Perhaps it is because the card is for a younger person which can be difficult to design for and he isn't used to it. I think it is lovely and would be very pleased to receive it myself (oh to be 18 again). Hope your granddaughter has a fantastic birthday.

I think perhaps it is the intricacy of the dies. The Tattered Lace and Tonic dies aren't to everyones taste, so they may appear fussy to those with simpler tastes. However, you know your Granddaughters tastes, men generally have no idea!

I think it looks great and young looking. Perhaps Dax, your hubby is so used to seeing you make a certain kind of card that he has found it hard to look outside of the box. I do so love pink as well.
