    Default Sewing bag

Well after years of having a break from patchwork/quilting I bought a kit from the NEC. Not brilliant and I did play around with what I wanted on the front rather than the information that came with the kit, and got to say I was not over enthusiastic with what was inside the kit for the amount of money that it cost. But nevertheless it is now finished. The information regarding the sewing bag is on my blog.

It's beautiful Tricia. I admire anyone who can sew and make something really special like this.

What a pretty project. I've also had a look at your blog, excellent review of the kit!

Lovely job, I try to stay away from kits, and just buy the patterns as I find the pre made up kits in general disappointing.

I did find this one expensive when I had to start purchasing the wadding, but another site I used not only were they cheaper but they actually have everything in the kit. The pattern itself for four pieces of A4 paper that only one piece had the instructions on, I did feel that £6 was a bit steep. But at the end of the day it was a learning curve and I learnt the hard way.

    Very pretty chuck.

I sort of cobbled a double sided shopping bag together before I went to Harrogate in November, only finished it the night before, which was one reason why I didn't get as many cards finished as I should have done. Basically it was just four pieces of Christmas fabric for each side, plus the same for the inside, or the outside when I turn it the other way up, if you see what I mean. used another piece for the handles and a border at the top. Made the handles far too long, so had to redo that bit, it was more like a shoulder bag than a shopping bag!

I now need to make another, but not in Christmas fabric. Well a normal shopping bag is boring after using a nice Christmas one for nearly six weeks. I have a couple of patterns, plus there are destructions in one, or perhaps both, of the books by Debbie Shore.

Always look on the bright side, if you can't find it then polish up the dull side.
