    Default Silhouette Pens.

I wonder if anyone can help me. Are the pens for the Silhouette portrait the same kind if nibs as those of the cricut expressions. If I cut shapes out for children to draw, I draw the edges first to give the shape definition. When I have looked at the Silhouette pens they look more like biro's than the felt tipped pens of the cricut. If they have different pens to choose from could anyone please give me advice on which to buy. Thanks Jube.

Yes mine too jube, I have 8 of them (probably dried up by now) and they are like little chunky biro's, sorry I don't know about cricut at all but bet someone will be along soon who will know.

Thank you for the information. I'm thinking I might get the pen holder and then try and find some felt pens that fit, as a thicker mark makes the white card stand out.
    Thanks again.

There is a universal pen holder that is much cheaper than the Silhouette one and my sister swears by it!!!

I discovered that all of my Silhouette pens had dried up. I had a pack of 12 small coloured pens that I bought from a pound shop that were slightly longer than them. I managed to take the top off the casings, cut down the cheap pens and replaced the Silhouette ones. I thought that some of you would find this info useful.

Jube the Silhouette pen holder with two extra size collars is only £8.99. If your not in a rush wait until Crafts U Love have a free p&p promotion as it saves £2.45.

Alternatively wrap enough tape around your pen so that it fits snuggly into the blade holder.

The universal one will take most pens and is much cheaper!! Not to mention the Silhouette pens run out very quickly!!
