Default I can see clearly now!

What a difference a new pair of specs make! I was doing a spot of die cutting and noticed how hairy they were. I looked at some cards I made a while ago and some of the die cuts on them are hairy which I never noticed at the time. These new specs are showing up all my faults! I also notice now that when I die cut using white card there are brown marks around the die cut (again I never noticed this when I had my old specs) Any one else have this problem and if some have you been able to over come it?
    Happy crafting

The fluffy edges are due to the cardstock used
Some cheaper brands are more fibrous so when you cut it little strands are left
I have also seen brown edges to the cuts which I think I have cured by
Wiping the dies with a baby wipe after several uses.

Sigh, you have set me off singing the Johnny Nash song. I say singing, what I really do is wail, or something of that ilk!

Thank you Jan for your reply. Good idea to wipe the dies . I am guilty of maybe using card that is a bit thick so will try to use thinner card

I think you can overcome the problem by wearing your old specs when looking at cards you've already made. There you go - soft focus effect, it's all beautiful!

LOL !! that's funny Mitzi and such a good idea!!

I frog-marched Jack to opticians about 5 weeks ago. I'd had a word with the receptionist on the quiet to say would she ask chap to check his driving vision. Anyway, the optician recommended he have some glasses for driving. He wore them twice and said he couldn't be doing with them - they magnified everything.......I said Nooooo that's what normal people can see when they drive!! Anyway, he's persevered and now he puts them on straightaway when he gets in the car, and reluctantly says it is better (sticks in his throat to admit !!). We get so complacent don't we!
