Apparently the BBC have cancelled the programme. Great shame.

I used to love that even though I don't do any sewing.

I find it weird that the presenters on C&C are not allowed to mention the name of show, only the likes of Stuart etc., who have appeared on it.

I hope the competition on C&C takes over where TGBSB left off.

Sad to hear that. Not a huge fan because of the time it was shown, but watching it inspired me to get out my sewing machine and give my ideas a go.

I loved watching Sewing Bee, not least because of the delicious Patrick. The Great Allotment Challenge also got pulled which I enjoyed too.

oh that's a shame Deefy, I liked watching that programme - wonder what's made them do that? They keep plenty of others on that are rubbish, don't know how The Voi8ce kept going as long as it did and now ITV have the flipping thing.

Didn't watch it myself, I don't do any telly during the evening, but I know lots of folks enjoyed it. I also know that it inspired folks to have a go themselves. I used to make all my own clothes, including coats, for myself and my family. Patterns and other peripherals (zips etc) became a tad too expensive, t'was cheaper for me to buy ready made. The price has come down on everything in the last couple of years or so, including fabric, well maybe not the patterns, but one can find bargains. So no reason why one can't at least have a bash.

I have always found the destructions in the patterns very easy to follow, so nobody should have any problems. One doesn't even need an expensive sewing machine, a cheap hand cranked, or even a treadle will sew just as well as a machine costing up to five grand. It is the strength of the seams that are important, not all the fancy stitches.

I'm so upset. I was wondering when it was going to start. The BBC are not going to have any decent programs left.
