Smile 'The Book' is finally finished

    https://rozneedlesandhooks.wordpress.com/

I was dreading the hemstitch square page, but after trying out a sample on a spare piece of linen, I discovered it wasn't half as bad as it had been the first time around. When I came to doing it on the final page of the book it was even easier as I could see where it should begin and end.

Like Hardanger it can be a wee bit nerve wracking when it comes to cutting the threads, but hey ho, I know how to do mini repairs if need be. Will I do another of my books? Eventually, perhaps a C******** Day and into 2021 project. Certainly not this side of December as there are an awful lot of other things that need my attention.

I’ve had a good look too and think that the whole book is wonderful. I particularly love the tree across the different seasons.

Thanks folks. I have made a start on a new project today, a Mill Hill kit of an autumn ginger cat in honour of Oscar who passed over the rainbow bridge this morning.

I am a bit chuffed with it, especially the hemstitch square. I have been a bit disinclined to buy a couple of Jane's samplers due to them having a hemstitch square, but.... well..... I may have to have a rethink.
