    Default Nancy Watt

Nancy Watt has announced today that she's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
I watched her doing a demo a month or so ago and she was struggling to say what it was she was doing and made mistakes on the cards. I thought at the time that she must have been unwell but Alzheimer's never crossed my mind.

Last time I saw Nancy she was on with Stephanie who I felt at the time was very gently leading and prompting her through the show.

Early onset Alzheimers is very sad.

Oh deary me, bless, how awful for her. I saw the show where she was struggling and put it down to being tired and the current situation etc., and also, when Stephanie is on with her she does tend to promnt on whatever they're doing but that's Stephanie's style so I've never thought anything of it. I'm sure she'll get good support from her family and everyone.

The last few shows she has been on she seemed to be struggling. Like others I thought she was just tired. How sad. I met her a few times at shows at the NEC and she is such a lovely lady.

It is very sad news for her and her family. Like others I have met her at shows - did a workshop on using alcohol marker pens with her once - and she is indeed a lovely lady and an inspiring teacher.

Oh that is so sad. She is such a lovely kind person; i met her once and we had a laugh together. I had been thinking it was a shame she wasn't on so much but thought she was just doing all her work at the Ihub. This disease robs us of many wonderful, clever people. I still miss Terry Prachett.

What a terrible thing to happen to her. Poor lass, I hope she and her family get all the help they need.
