Gold I can certainly do! A stamped background or border sounds good.

I've got hundreds (maybe thousands) of stamps so I'm very happy with the stamp theme.

You don't have to be as mad as a box of frogs to be here but it helps:mysmilie_13:

I will be making mine over the next couple of days.
We have been enjoying (?) an interesting time here lately. Niece has been trying to get a flight out of Malawi for weeks but airlines were not flying. Finally Air Kenya came back online and she got all her paperwork, visas and virus tests done and ready. She kept us informed all through her journey. At the airport she was about to be turned away by an official who claimed her paperwork was incorrect and unless she paid him $100 she couldn't get on the flight. She didn't have $100. Fortunately a kind policewoman took pity on her and managed to get help from a high-up in the National Parks Service (that Niece was working for) and together they 'persuaded' the man to let Niece go through. The connection in Addis Ababa went OK but she arrived in UK on a Sunday and bus connections were tight. My nerves have never been so wracked. But she got here and is isolating with us. She was not given any tests or information when she got to Heathrow and no-one was interested in the forms she had filled out to give them. One word = shambles.
And then a farmer asked if we would like to re-home a failed sheepdog. We took our dog to meet him and she let us know she liked him very much so he came home with us. He is very big, soppy and cuddly. Obviously any sheep that he tried to round up would take one look and fall about laughing. But he has never been in a vehicle or a house nor walked on a lead so he is going to be an awful lot of work.
So that is why I have been a bit quiet lately and I now feel much better for having got all that off my chest.

Will get mine started this week
    Had to do extra childcare
And also a few special occasions cards
To day we had our first special trip out
Hubby hired a day boat on the Norfolk broads
Was a belated birthday gift as we could not go out on by birthday as lock down was
    Coming into force
Had a lovely day beautiful weather and scenery and a lovely river side pub meal
We had to sit outside only allowed in to use the loos
Tables were set out over a metre apart and you had to book even if it was only for a drink
Our lab Ruby enjoyed the boat ride and we were entertained watching the swans doing their mating dance which consisted of the females bowing their necks to the male while he lifted his wings over his back like an arch while rising out of the water
Forget about wealth it’s the simple things like today’s outing that are worth more than gold
And it has lifted my spirits
