I bet it isn't real rice paper, just as parchment and vellum aren't.

My mum always used edible rice paper when she made meringues. She piped the meringue mixture onto the rice paper. No non-stick baking trays in those days, it was only greaseproof paper to stop things sticking which did not always come off. So rice paper for meringues then it did not matter as you could eat it. Me and my brother always ate the left over pieces of rice paper on the tray.

No, not the edible rice paper!!! Imagine trying to put that through your printer! That's made from the rice grains and starch. This is made from the husks and stalks and stuff like that. It's very thin, semi-transparent and has long fibres like hand-made paper but is manufactured to have a smooth surface for printing on.
As for vellum and parchment the real stuff would be yukky (and most certainly not vegan friendly, lol)

Yes I wouldn't want to use animal skins in my crafting! Maybe if I could do beautiful calligraphy with proper mineral pigment ink and gold leaf like the medieval illuminated manuscripts... But as I can't, I prefer to use paper "vellum" or "parchment".

The saying that most gets on my nerves at the moment, that everyone seems to be saying is 'gifting'
"If you're gifting it" or "If anyone has ever gifted you...."

There is a trend for turning nouns into verbs - like athletes 'medalling' at the Olympics. I always think the presenters mean 'meddling' and wonder what sports stars have meddled in!
