Default Short knitting needles about 8 or 9 inches long

Does anyone know where I can get a set of knitting needles no more than nine inches long please. Had a quick look on ebay an Amazon and they don't seem to take into account what I'm asking for - metric is about 230mm I think.

Not sure they are made anymore, other than sets of double pointed needles that is. I have just had a look on the KnitPro website http://www.knitproneedles.co.uk/index.php and they do single point needles that are 25cm in length, plus longer, they are expensive though.

The other thing you could do is to buy circular needles, either fixed or with an interchangeable cable, but use them in the way you would use single point needles, which is how I use them. When knitting socks in the round I use two circulars in the same size as I can't do the magic loop method to save my life. My preference are the Zing needles.

Always look on the bright side, if you can't find it then polish up the dull side.

Thanks Roz, I'll have a look at the circular needles.
