They are a varied bunch. I would love to be able to make 'arty' backgrounds like Mitzi.

As a side note, I do love my Silhouette. They don't really 'push' it a lot on craft TV and I sometimes wonder whether it's because these machines almost make metal dies obsolte! I mean, I've only bought a handful of dies in almost 10 years. After the initial cost, my subscription is £3.25 a month and I have currently an unused balance of over £40 because I just can't spend it all! You don't get the embossed finish of course.
I finally got to grips with the sketch function at the beginning of the first lockdown and wouldn't be without it now. I found a really good Youtube tutorial which explained it clearly.
Dax uses different functions on hers so I've still got a lot to learn.
    Sales pitch over!!

I just don't have the space to have my Silhouette out so it’s not well used.

That's a shame. To be honest, it doesn't take any more space than my Big Shot (when that is fully open). And you don't need space to store metal dies! (I think they should employ me a salesperson!!).

Yes, but my desk space does not allow my computer and Cameo out together. I keep thinking I should get it down and use it but I’m having fun making without it.

I'm sure I've had cards from you with arty backgrounds in the past. The background for this month's Just Be ATCs was actually a mop up sheet; when I'm inking or stencilling or stamping, I use scrap card or copy paper to mop up, clean stamps and stencils on to etc. I have absolutely no idea what the original project(s) for this one were. As the ink was mostly yellow, I thought it was suitable for this challenge.

Then all I had to do was stamp the Aall & Create (correct, PJP) circles in black, colour in some with Distress Crayons and smudge with my finger and it's done.

For Little Jan's swap this month, I have made a background from scratch with smooshing, stencilling with sprays, acrylic paint, embossing powder, stamping... Many layers. Now I'm really happy with it but am scared to ruin it by sticking things on top. My swap recipient will have to be patient.
