Waterlily glad to read that your husband managed to take the lid off of your machine and you found the book for your machine. We have been away since Saturday so only now we are home catching up.
Before you do anything you need to clap your knitting machine to a table. Check that the back rail and front rail are clean and lightly oil both. Turn the carriage over and do the same to the back and front rails. Pull all the needles out as far as they will go with the straight pusher and check for bent needles. If there are any change them and if you don't have any good replacements a trick is to replace with good end ones each side. I hope you get it knitting.

Thanks Dax will do that. Haven't had another look at it as I thought I'd better get on with sorting my craft room out lol. It's a lot worse than it was before I started!!!!
