Stephanie appears to have moved to the Craft Store. I was under the impression that she was employed by C&C and was behind many of their inhouse brands.

It's only the Highlands Crafts brand which is in her husband's name. Rumours are that Mel is going over with her. Facebook is full of posts about it. There's a lot of people unhappy about the move, they think it will spoil the Craft Store.

Wow. I don't Facebook so had no idea anything was up. I also don't do Craft Store so I'm now in a quandary. Funny thing was there was a new Two Red Robins show advertised a couple of days ago but said every item was sold out. then it disappeared off the schedule and when I did a search for the brand nothing came up so I was mystified. Maybe this explains it. What will happen to Scanncut?

Just did a search for "Two Red Robins" and it comes up on 'Highlight Crafts' website. They are advertising zoom workshops with Mel Heaton. So 'Highlight Crafts' is in the husbands name, is it? That's a cunning way of getting round her C&C commitments. I await with bated breath what will happen next. I checked and there are no scheduled shows for Tattered Lace or Cutting Craftorium in the next few days and if they have left as well I will be saving a lot of money this year. Maybe I will be able to afford to go to Malawi after all. So not all bad, then.

Tattered Lace is owned by C&C so it will be interesting to see what happens with them.

C&C seem to build up Carnation more these days with Carla and ? (the one that's just had the baby - sorry, can't think of her name).

I think one of the owners of CC is Steph's sister.

Thinking about it there are some things that are making sense now. I noticed that Mel wasn't the only one showcasing the Scanncut - the world and its friend seemed to be using the machine - Carla, Hannah, Lynda etc etc, so I would guess that the Scanncut is staying with C&C.

As to Stephanie Weightman going to The Craft Store - it doesn't make any difference to me as I don't buy anything she produces. I hope, for their sake, she doesn't land up presenting because she was totally hopeless on C&C.
