    Default Crafters companion cd Roms

I have just got out my Christmas stash and thought I would use some of my cd roms for the ATC swap
They fit the bill as they have either never been used or not for years
I came across a crafters companion one from 2014 still in its wrapper and thought I could use that and also make the Granddaughter's Christmas cards
But it says to back up your pc before used as crafters companion take no responsibility for damage to your pc
I have cd roms from 2008 that don’t have this warning and have used them without any issue
    Scared to use it now

Probably being over cautious and keen to disclaim liability. It's a long time since I used any of my old Crafters Companion cd roms but I'm sure I never backed up before installing any of them and they never caused a problem.

Most CDs used to say this. Which cd is it LJ? I probably have it and will try it in my desktop PC if you want.

My granddaughters have only just seen the film and loved it

Not a problem LJ because of the DT I’m on I use loads of CDs and USBs and have never had a problem.

Just checked and I don't have the snowman one. I've used CDs since I started crafting in 2005 and never had them cause an issue on my PCs ranging from brand new ones to ancient PCs.

    Thanks Pamela
    I’ll give it a try
Hubby is getting the rest of my craft stuff down tomorrow the cd’s and dies are in my new storage cupboards already
So I managed to make a few quick Christmas cards with my new create a card dies today nothing fancy as they are going overseas so no layers just a normal card as postage is expensive
