Some innocent sayings have a different meaning now
My brother worked in metal plating
The company did lot of work for big hotels re plating taps etc
One Friday night he came home from work and told mum his boss had offered him a big bonus if he worked all weekend rimming
Back then it was edging things with gold or silver plate
Can you imagine saying that now
