A couple of evenings! I work fast and I used space dyed threads from a company in France so I could get some shading without having to change the thread in my needle, which is a great time saver.

My extremely amazing swap arrived yesterday and look!

A lavender sachet all embroidered with tiny pearl beads. How do you even do that?

    And

A beautiful pearly card with lace and ribbon. And it all came wrapped up in matching tissue paper.

Now my craft room smells lovely and I will enjoy this swap for a long time. Many thanks to Little Jan for this, I know it was a bit of a marathon journey for you but well worth it. x

So glad it arrived in the end
It was a bit of a bit of a marathon
I had my idea all ready to go
But my embroidery machine gave up the ghost
After buying new threads bobbins needles and backing fabrics as suggested by brother helpline
Which took an age to arrive still no joy
So out came my trusty brother sewing machine it has embroidery stitches but you have to move the design freehand
So unfortunately the corners do not match up
It looked a bit plain so I had a rummage through my fabrics and found the cream broderie anglais(sp?)
Then I found a box of assorted beads so sewed them on
    Very therapeutic
I did not what to chance messing it up sewing the front and back together on the machine so it was done by hand
I do enjoy to hand sew and after stressing about it being so late being sent
    I felt relaxed

You don't have to be as mad as a box of frogs to be here but it helps:mysmilie_13:

What a joy! The background paper is stunning then the echoing of the purple in the lavender and the tonic sentiment is so pretty and the pièce de résistance of tying the lavender with the white lacy ribbon just set the card off beautifully. The lavender looks so realistic I was tempted to sniff it !
    Thank you so much PJP!

The lavender is a Carnation Crafts double sided vignette cut with the matching die. Confession time!!! The lace isn't tied around the stems. I just tied a bow in the lace and then glued it onto the lavender stems.
