My Freedom Membership was due to renew today so I have rung to ask for this to be the last one at £5:97 and I also asked the CS rep if after August 21st you would be able to get Freedom for a month only and he said yes. I would ring up to check if I did that as I wouldn’t want to be stung for two months, you have to give a month’s notice which makes it more difficult.

Needless to say that went wrong and my Freedom membership has gone although I did not get money taken, which is a relief!

I had phone call from CS the other day asking me if I got the email, which I never, and would I like to renew my freedom membership. I have been paying £5.97 so not interested in doubling payment for nothing extra.
I also learnt today that C&C have taken away the free ALL & Create Xmas free digital stamp they gave me as I am no longer a member. How petty can a company get, what did they have to gain except an angry customer. It would of cost them nothing to have kept it on their site for me to download, I would of thought that C&C needs to keep their loyal customer's not turn them off.

I've just sent them an email:

    Dear Sir or Madam

Please note that I wish to cancel my Freedom Membership with effect from the next renewal. I could have accepted a rise of a pound or two but to suddenly jump by 67% is unacceptable and a very poor way to treat loyal customers who have been with you for years.

Also, if I'm reading your email correctly, I would need to pay for Club membership on top of the Freedom, whereas since the merger it has been included. Cancel both, please.

I have loved this channel since the Hochanda days but it is no longer enjoyable. All the things that made it so pleasurable to watch and order from - small companies, extended time for demonstrations, unassuming presenters, a "family atmosphere" - have been sacrificed. There is a reason why Hochanda was successful and Create and Craft was not. Now you just seem to be left with the worst elements of Create and Craft with the recent addition of Ideal World to boot.

I have spent [ahem not saying how much here!] with you over the last few years but sadly it's not for me any more. Count me out.

Please escalate this email up to management as far as possible so decision-makers can see it. Thank you.

    A great email Mitzi.
I still haven't had the email and god knows what they're doing with my Freedom account/C&C membership.
On 9th May I paid £5.97, 9th June I also paid £5.97 but if I go to 'My Orders' on C&C it states I paid £7.97 on 9th June.
Nothing's been taken for July or as yet August (should have been on 9th).
If I go to 'My Subscriptions' it shows as Freedom Monthly Membership Active. Under Renewal date today it says 15th August but it's been changing on a daily basis. Last week it showed as 9th August and then 11th August!.
I wonder what it will say on 21st August!
Since the merger there's no way of checking when your C&C membership started or expires.
C&C seems to have gone to pot recently. When I buy something on a weekend I don't get a confirmation email nor a despatch email. The first time I know the order is coming is when EVRI email to say they're expecting a parcel. If I have more than one order outstanding I never know which one is on it's way.

I hadn't checked my account so just had a look. Up to and including April, I paid £5.97 per month. In May they charged £7.97 according to my account on C&C. I noticed this and emailed them on 12 June; they replied on 13th saying they would refund the £2. Checking my credit card bill, I was only charged £5.97 not the £7.97 and I haven't been charged ANY Freedom payments since then although I have still been receiving the discount and free postage on orders.

Now I'm thinking I shouldn't have emailed them if I'm going to keep receiving the benefits for nothing. Doubt it would last, though.

The CS Rep told me they had had a problem with the system earlier in the summer which had led to some mess ups.

Today my C&C account says my Freedom membership is active until 30th September. My bank account has been debited with £5.97.

I received the email, my first email from C&C for a very long time and I am not a freedom subscriber.

I have stopped buying craft items as I am just not making cards. I went to my account on C&C's web site to make sure my club membership is not on auto renew. There was a faint grey tick in the box and no way would it untick. I thought my club membership expired in August but it is September. Not sure because it is not due for renewal yet it is the reason I can't untick the box.
