Just been watching Phill on HobbyMaker. Better fit for him than the current C&C.

I only ever catch a couple of minutes of either channel. It always seems to be a lot of chat; never any demonstrations. I get the emails from C&C and also from Highlight Crafts for some reason. A lot of what's on offer is far too cutesy for my taste.
Sadly, the craft shop in the little town near us has closed so no more treats for me there.

Yet another defector from C&C. Hope Hobbymaker doesn't get too big

Lisa Horton has just announced she's left C&C to go to Hobbymaker.

Gosh! Wasn’t expecting that although I have vague recollections Phill and Lisa both were with Sue Wilson & Creative Expressions when I first saw craft on TV. I thought Lisa was front & centre with C&C .

Phill, Lisa and Mad Hatter have all said they've not left because of issues with C&C. Lisa has said that many of the staff were friends and will remain friends. I'm guessing it's down to lack of sales. I've read loads of FB posts from people saying they no longer buy from C&C. Down to things like the charge for Flexipay, increase in postage and the recent 'upgrade' to their website which caused loads of problems. Once again they lost all the Tattered Lace content and Highlight Crafts stepped in and sorted it out.

I did wonder why i had emails from Highlight Crafts recently regarding the old Tattered Lace magazine and had no idea about charging for Flexipay. C&C's fortunes seem to rise and fall quite regularly and I've never kept up with the merry-go-round of which company is on which channel. I always thought that Hobbymaker was mostly Crafters Companion so was surprised when SCW posted they were on QVC. Shows how much i know!
Latest email from C&C promoting a Stamperia collection. Admittedly gorgeous but over £200.
I must admit I am no longer interested in what C&C have to offer, or any other shopping channel to be honest. I am getting rid of much of my paper crafting stuff as I much prefer stitching. On the odd occasion they have something that interests me in the sewing, the chances are I already have it, or something similar. Their idea of knitting and crochet is utterly boring.
I have a sewing machine, albeit a cheap job, which is exactly what I wanted and needed. I am sure I could find something better to spend a couple of thousand squiddles on. Doesn't leave a lot left for me to want to spend my money on. Even Gina B's goodies I would much rather buy directly from her.
